Some days ago we had our younger daughter baptized. It was a nice ceremony combined with a family gathering. The things were kept simple and beautiful, exactly the way I had visioned them.
So, I had this dream of me (with my mum's help since she knows how to sew) making all the things with our own hands. And that's what we did....And the result was awesome (for my eyes of course, someone might find it hideous)
Down below I posted some photos of the things we made for our little angel's christening. It's not everything but I can tell you that making with your own hands the (count please)... invitations, the greeting cards, the clothes (dress, underwear, hat), the towels, the sheets, the candles, the souvenirs, the decoration for the meal that followed the ceremony and the bobonieres (I can't translate this word what I mean is the sugared things and sweets you give to the guests after the christening) was so worthwhile since everything is unique and so special...
I wish my beautiful daughter, who was named Konstantina, to be always healthy, lucky and shiny!!!
The "bobonieres"
Handmade (of course) book for wishes with lovely bracelets-souvenirs
Not handmade (but if I was a shoemaker...) shoes by BABYWALKER and soap by Freshline
Handmade card and present (a MICHAEL KORS' watch) for the kind godmother
The OMG -to die for silk and lace dress with flower and swarovski details, my mum made for my daughter. By the way, she was named after her.
Photo of the dress (again, I know I got in love with it) and the amazing suitcase-toy SKOOT by SKOOT.
That's a bit of the stuff of that lovely day. I' ll be back with some more details and information.Hope you are all good. Lots of love, Xenia
